Modern machine modeling and mold making have become fully digitized. Processes are carried out according to the following technological categories:
CAD (Computer-Aided Design)
CAD (Computer-Aided Design): This step involves designing a 3D solid model of the part and calculating casting shrinkage allowances according to the standards of the Machine Modeling Department.
GLASS (COMPUTER-AIDED MANUFACTURING OF GLASS)
CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing): The process of generating the tool paths (G codes) necessary for machining a designed mold or model on CNC machines.
CNC MOLD MACHINING
CNC Mold Machining: The precise machining of a model/mold using 3, 4, or 5-axis CNC milling and vertical machining centers.
RAPID PROTOTYPING AND 3D PRINTERS
Rapid Prototyping and 3D Printers: This is the process of directly producing models or cores using plastic or sand-based additive manufacturing technologies.
